Data Engineers ensure that users have access to high-quality, reliable, and scalable data sources. They design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures to enable efficient data processing and analytics.

They are responsible for ensuring data quality, standardization, and governance so that datasets can be effectively used by Data Analysts and Data Scientists.

Data Engineers contribute to defining data policies and structuring data lifecycles in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards, working closely with the Chief Data Officer.

Their responsibilities include working across application systems, cloud data platforms, and modern data stacks. They design and manage data pipelines using tools such as Snowflake (data warehouse), dbt (data transformation), and Airflow (workflow orchestration).

They integrate data from multiple sources, ensure data quality entering the data lake/warehouse (validation, deduplication, monitoring), and enable scalable analytics solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Capture structured and unstructured data from internal and external systems
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch & orchestration workflows)
• Implement transformations using dbt following modular and testable practices
• Orchestrate workflows and dependencies using Apache Airflow
• Load and manage data in cloud data warehouse (Snowflake)
• Structure and model data (semantic layer, data marts, etc.)
• Map and integrate data from multiple sources
• Perform data cleansing (deduplication, validation, anomaly detection)
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and observability
• Define and enforce data governance and best practices

Mandatory Skills:

Snowflake, DBT, Python, Cloud ( Azure/AWS)

• Strong hands-on experience with: Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, storage design)
• dbt (modular transformations, testing, documentation)
• Apache Airflow (DAG design, scheduling, monitoring)
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
• Cloud data warehousing (Snowflake)
• Programming: Python (preferred), Spark/Scala is a plus
• Proactive ownership and accountability
