Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Engineer (13 years experience) with strong SQL, ETL, and Business Intelligence (BI) skills. The role involves building and maintaining data pipelines reporting and dashboard development, including SSRS report conversion to Power BI.

This position requires a blend of data engineering + BI reporting, working closely with analytics and business teams to ensure accurate and performant data delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support reporting and analytics needs
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
• Support and enhance existing SSRS reports
• Convert / rebuild SSRS reports into Power BI dashboards
• Develop Power BI reports using appropriate data models and DAX measures
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reports
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting
• Support scheduled refreshes, incremental loads, and pipeline monitoring

Required Skills

Data Engineering

• Strong SQL (joins, CTEs, subqueries, aggregations)
• Understanding of ETL concepts (full vs incremental loads)
• Experience with SSIS / Azure Data Factory / Python-based ETL (any one)
• Basic data modeling knowledge (fact & dimension tables)

BI & Reporting (Must-Have)

• Hands-on experience with Power BI
• Power BI Desktop
• Data modeling & relationships
• Basic to intermediate DAX
• Experience working with SSRS reports
• Understanding of datasets, parameters, expressions
• Exposure to SSRS to Power BI migration/conversion
• Experience building reports from SQL / views
