We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our Castrol Data & Analytics team at BP Business Solutions India Private Limited. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring the availability, reliability, and quality of data to support critical business decisions and drive innovation.

Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation from various sources.
Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation to ensure data accuracy and consistency, preparing it for analysis and reporting.
Implement and manage data integration processes, connecting disparate data systems and ensuring seamless data flow.
Contribute to the development and implementation of data strategy and governance frameworks, promoting data quality, security, and compliance.
Utilize advanced data manipulation techniques to extract meaningful insights and support data-driven initiatives.
Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure the security and integrity of data through adherence to digital security best practices.
Actively participate in group problem-solving sessions to address data-related challenges and optimize processes.
Apply commercial acumen to understand business needs and design data solutions that deliver tangible value.
Effectively communicate technical concepts and data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering.

Job Qualifications

Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, Pyspark, SQL.

Hand-on experience working on cloud data platforms like AWS, DataBricks. Strong foundation in SQL, data modeling, and data lake architectures.

Experience working with batch and real-time data streaming solutions.
Strong proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools.
Demonstrable expertise in data cleansing and transformation methodologies.
In-depth knowledge of data domain concepts and standard processes.
Solid experience with data integration tools and techniques.
Experience with data sourcing strategies and implementation.

Exposure to SAP and Supply Chain data would be an added advantage, though not mandatory.
Understanding of digital security principles as they apply to data.
Good communication, collaboration, and group problem-solving skills.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
