Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior BI Engineer with strong expertise in Apache Spark to design, develop, and optimize large-scale data processing systems. This role requires a blend of technical depth, leadership capability, and stakeholder collaboration to drive impactful analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark
• Build and optimize ETL workflows for large-scale data processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data, Product, Security) to deliver data solutions
• Ensure data security, governance, and privacy compliance
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for big data processing frameworks
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
• Mentor team members and drive best practices across projects
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements for efficiency and reliability
• Enable data-driven decision-making through robust BI solutions

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering / BI engineering
• Strong hands-on expertise in Apache Spark
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks
• Proven experience in ETL development and data integration
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills
• Experience handling large-scale datasets
• Ability to lead teams and influence technical decisions

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Knowledge of data governance and security frameworks
• Experience in real-time data processing (Kafka, streaming frameworks)
