Role Description

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer for a full-time work from office role based in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing data processing systems. The day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining data pipelines, implementing extract, transform, and load (ETL) workflows, and building scalable data models to support data analysis and reporting. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights that drive decision-making and business growth. The ideal candidate is hands-on with SQL and data analysis, possesses working knowledge of Databricks systems, and is comfortable translating business needs into clear actionable technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Perform detailed data analysis for all data assets across bronze, silver and gold layers in Databricks and evaluate them for data quality and completeness for building data products
• Build data products in Atlan using data assets available in Databricks
• Create self-service analytics models and visualizations using Sigma Computing tools
• Analyze existing reports and datasets to identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization,or decommissioning
• Perform SQL-based data extraction, validation, and analysis
• Document data flows into downstream reporting platforms
• Collaborate with Data Modeling and Power BI teams to design and deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions
• Write user stories and define acceptance criteria to support Agile development of business requirements in Azure Dev Ops
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring stakeholder approval prior to production deployment
• As a part of Data Products team, deliver and maintain accurate, complete and timely data sets while taking into account the business interests and needs internally & externally
• This role will involve working with the team and the management on a variety of initiatives related to Data Democratization operations
• Deliver on predefined individual and team targets including delivering outcomes with quality and excellence
• Keeps up-to-date in knowledge of content sets. Builds industry knowledge by understanding industry trends and reporting standards
• Provides input and ideas for new data collection methods and enhancements related to the respective processes
• Able to shoot problems or issues and provide support to the data engineering team
