Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design, development, and governance of the organizations data architecture ecosystem. This role will be responsible for building scalable, secure, high-performance, and reliable data solutions that support reporting, analytics, business intelligence, AI/ML initiatives, and operational systems. The ideal candidate will establish data architecture standards, ensure seamless data integration, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and govern the end-to-end enterprise data ecosystem - including data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouses, and real-time streaming platforms - ensuring alignment with business and technology strategy.

Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, business intelligence, AI/ML model training, and operational systems.

Define and enforce enterprise-wide data architecture standards, principles, patterns, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all data domains.

Evaluate and recommend modern data stack technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, MS Fabric, GCP, AWS) and drive adoption of best-fit platforms aligned with organizational needs.

Lead the design of custom ETL/ELT pipelines and Spark-based distributed processing solutions for large-scale structured and unstructured data ingestion and transformation.

Establish data modelling standards (dimensional, relational, graph, and streaming models) and oversee the development of enterprise semantic layers and data catalogues.

Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML teams to translate business requirements into robust, production-grade data architecture blueprints.

Partner with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to design cloud-native data solutions that meet enterprise SLAs, data residency, and security requirements.

Conduct architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and technology evaluations to continuously modernise the data platform landscape.

Drive data quality, observability, and lineage initiatives to ensure trusted, reliable data across the organisation.

Mentor and guide data engineers, analysts, and junior architects - fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.

Engage with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to present architecture roadmaps, solution trade-offs, and strategic recommendations.

Mandatory Requirements

Should have strong experience in custom ETL development, Spark cluster configuration and Big Data platforms.

Expertise in scalable data architecture distributed processing and enterprise data pipeline design
