Do you enjoy finding patterns in data, making sense of information and turning it into clear insights? Are you curious about how news, media, digital conversations, search and AI-led platforms influence brands and reputation?


As a Data Analyst at Zeno, you will support research, monitoring, measurement and reporting for client work. You will work closely with analytics, strategy, digital and account teams to gather data, clean it, analyze it and turn it into simple reports and insights that help teams make better decisions.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, is comfortable with Excel and PowerPoint, and can explain findings clearly. Experience or interest in GEO / Generative Engine Optimization, SEO, AI search visibility or digital analytics will be an added advantage.


About the Role:


  • Research & Intelligence Gathering: Monitor news, media coverage, digital conversations, search trends, industry updates and competitor activity. Help identify relevant information, emerging issues and opportunities for clients.
  • Data Compilation & Cleaning: Collect and compile data from sources such as spreadsheets, databases, media monitoring tools, digital platforms and external systems such as Meltwater, Cision, Talkwalker, Brandwatch or similar platforms. Check data accuracy, remove duplicates, standardize formats and fix inconsistencies.
  • Data Analysis & Insight Development: Analyze campaign, media, digital and reputation data to identify trends, patterns, spikes and key learnings. Support senior team members in developing insights and recommendations based on the analysis.
  • Reporting & Communications Intelligence: Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, briefs, trackers, newsletters, crisis alerts and other intelligence products for clients and internal teams.
  • Visualization & Presentation: Create clear charts, graphs, tables and simple dashboards to present data findings in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with analytics, strategy, digital and account teams to understand requirements, gather inputs and provide data support.
  • Learning & Improvement: Build knowledge of analytics tools, communications measurement methods, data sources and emerging areas such as AI-led search and GEO.


About You:


  • 12 years of experience in analytics, research, communications, marketing, public relations, digital or related fields. Relevant internships or project work can also be considered for strong candidates.
  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, Communications, Commerce, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • Analytical mindset with interest in working with both qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is required, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, basic formulas, charts, data cleaning and conditional formatting.
  • Good writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain findings clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and timelines.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as with different teams.
  • Interest in media, communications, digital platforms, technology and how insights support decision-making.
  • Curiosity about new tools, including AI tools that can improve speed, accuracy and quality of research and reporting.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Familiarity with research, analytics, media monitoring or digital measurement tools such as Meltwater, Cision, Talkwalker, Brandwatch or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio or similar platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Python or R.
  • Exposure to SEO, Google Analytics, audience research or digital analytics.
  • Knowledge or experience with GEO / Generative Engine Optimization, AI search visibility or brand visibility checks across AI platforms.
  • Understanding data privacy and security principles.
  • Coursework, internships or project experience related to analytics, communications research, marketing or business intelligence.
