Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Data Analyst based in Hubballi. The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify trends and patterns. The role involves developing data models, generating reports, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making processes. Collaboration with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and presenting findings effectively to stakeholders will also be key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Extraction - Acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, building and managing databases and automated collection systems.
• Data Cleaning and Processing - Filter and Clean data to correct any code inefficiencies, remove duplicates, and resolve outliers to ensure the highest data quality.
• Analysing and Modelling - Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets using statistical methodologies.
• Reporting and Visualization - Build comprehensive reports, KPIs, and dashboards using business intelligence tools to communicate findings effectively.
• Business Collaboration - Work closely with the top management and cross-functional teams to prioritize business information needs and identify process improvement opportunities.

What we are looking for:

1. Programming and Databases:

• Advance Excel is mandatory, knowledge on Python or Power BI is a huge plus.
• Ability to utilize tools for complex data manipulation and statistical modelling.

1. Data Visualization:

• Expertise in building interactive visual stories and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI or Looker.

1. Mathematics & Statistics:

• Strong analytical mindset with a solid understanding of statistical techniques, probability and hypothesis testing.

1. Problem solving and communication:

• The ability to translate highly technical findings into clear, non-technical insights and strategic recommendations for stakeholders.

1. Education and Experience:

• A bachelors degree in mathematics or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in a similar role or a role handling large datasets, reporting, communication and building MIS reports.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R)
• Bachelors degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is advantageous
