Data Analyst - Life Sciences (R/Python, SQL)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong foundation in biostatistics and hands-on expertise in R, Python, and SQL to support data-driven decision-making within the life sciences domain. This role involves mining large datasets, performing advanced analyses, and delivering actionable insights to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, process, and analyze large structured datasets using SQL, R, and Python
• Perform statistical analysis and develop data models to generate actionable insights
• Translate complex data into clear, decision-oriented reports and dashboards
• Work closely with senior leadership to support strategic and operational decisions
• Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities through exploratory data analysis
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across analyses
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align analytics with business objectives

Required Skills & Experience

• 45 years of experience in data analytics / advanced analytics
• Strong proficiency in:
• SQL (data extraction, transformation)
• R and/or Python (statistical analysis, data modeling)
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts / biostatistics fundamentals
• Experience working with large datasets and data mining techniques
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in life sciences / healthcare / pharma datasets
• Exposure to real-world data (RWD), clinical, or commercial datasets
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
