Role Overview

Job Title: Data Analyst
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in IT (with a clear track record in data analysis)
Location: Mumbai, India
The Mission: The BROKK team manages tariffs, rate cards, and invoice data for the banks global trading desks. Your job is to use data, math, and coding to automate how the bank tracks and validates its expenses and vendor invoices.

The 4 Core Duties (What you will do)

Data Analysis: Study global tariff and invoice data to calculate business costs and map out how financial data flows through bank systems.
Data Visualization: Build clean, easy-to-use dashboards in Power BI or Oracle Apex so managers can see real-time invoice statuses and fee patterns.
Data Mining: Dive into large production databases to track down missing rate cards, look for fee errors, and investigate operational issues.
Data Science & Automation: Write smart code and scripts to automate manual tasks, like auto-acquiring invoice files or auto-reading rate card documents.

Technical Toolkit (What you must know)

SQL & Databases: Advanced SQL skills with direct, hands-on experience inside Oracle database environments.
Visualization: Microsoft Power BI or Oracle Apex.
Automation: Practical knowledge of Python and ElasticSearch.
Data Ingestion: A solid understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts and tools.
Machine Learning / AI: Basic exposure or awareness of ML/AI techniques is a strong plus.

Domain & Background Needed

Education: Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Financial Markets.
Industry Focus: Investment Banking / Financial Markets (BFSI).
Domain Knowledge: Understanding financial products (like Foreign Exchange or Derivatives) and European regulatory frameworks (like EMIR, MiFID, or CFTC).
Agile Mindset: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment alongside developers and global teams across New York, London, Paris, and Singapore.
