Role Description The Cyber Security Trainer role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving cybersecurity training programs for learners at various skill levels. Day-to-day activities include preparing lesson plans and training materials, conducting live virtual classes and workshops, and creating practical lab exercises focused on areas such as network, application, and information security. The trainer will assess learner performance through assignments, labs, and evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and offer mentoring to support career development. The role also involves staying current with emerging threats, tools, frameworks, and best practices, updating course content accordingly, and collaborating with internal teams to align training programs with industry standards and certification paths.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including security principles, risk management, and governance.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, such as secure network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention.
Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and common application-layer attack mitigation.
Candidates should possess skills in Malware Analysis, including identifying, analyzing, and explaining malicious code behavior and related defense techniques.
Experience delivering technical training, workshops, or courses (online or in-person), with strong presentation and communication skills.
Ability to design structured curricula, create clear training materials, and translate complex technical concepts into accessible content.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or similar) are highly beneficial.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Comfort working independently in a remote environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
