Role

As a Cutlist Specialist, you will be the bridge between design and production. Your primary focus will be translating interior design drawings into precise, factory-ready cutlists for hardwood, plywood, and various boards. You will play a critical role in reducing material waste through advanced optimization techniques, directly impacting our operational efficiency and bottom line.

Responsibilities

• Technical Translation: Interpret 2D/3D design drawings (AutoCAD/SketchUp) to generate accurate, detailed cutlists for solid wood, veneers, and panel materials.
• Material Optimization: Utilize optimization software (e.g., CutList Plus, MaxCut, or similar) to ensure maximum yield per sheet/plank, significantly reducing scrap and wastage.
• Hardware Planning: Identify and list all necessary hardware, joinery components, and edge-banding requirements for each project.
• Quality Control: Audit final cutlists against design specs to prevent errors before materials reach the saw or CNC machine.
• Production Liaison: Work closely with the factory floor and procurement team to ensure material availability and resolve any technical ambiguities in the cutting process.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 3 to 6 years of core experience in the Home Interiors or Modular Furniture industry.
• Technical Proficiency: * Expertise in AutoCAD and MS Excel (advanced formulas for manual calculations).
• Proven experience with Optimization Software.
• Strong understanding of hardwood species, grain direction, and board properties (MDF, Plywood, Particle Board).
• Mathematical Aptitude: Excellent numerical skills with a sharp eye for detailmissing a few millimeters can be a costly mistake!
• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with designers and factory supervisors.
• Local Availability: Candidates living near or able to commute easily to New BEL Road are preferred.
