We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer with a strong background in Life Sciences Patient Safety / Pharmacovigilance, supporting systems used for ICSR management, Signal Management, and Aggregate Reporting. The role focuses on incident and service request management, technical triage, data investigation, and coordination with application and integration teams to ensure stability and regulatory compliance of safety systems.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of application support experience in the Patient Safety / Drug Safety domain, hands-on experience working with safety data, and proficiency in SQL for data querying and issue analysis. Experience supporting R&D IT systems and integrations and working in validated environments is essential. Proficiency in Jira and ServiceNow is required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and resolve application incidents and service requests for Pharmacovigilance systems such as Argus or Aris G.
Perform technical triage, issue analysis, and root-cause investigation, including data-level analysis using SQL
Support issues related to ICSR processing, signal management workflows, and aggregate safety reporting
Work closely with application configuration, integration, and support teams to implement fixes and corrective actions
Coordinate testing and deployment of bug fixes and minor enhancements
Track, document, and communicate incidents, changes, and resolutions using Jira and ServiceNow
Ensure support activities comply with global PV regulations, GxP requirements, and validated system processes
Experience & Skills
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Application Support within Life Sciences
Hands-on experience supporting Patient Safety / Pharmacovigilance systems
Strong understanding of ICSRs, Signal Management, and/or Aggregate Reporting processes
Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing safety data
Experience working with R&D IT systems, integrations, and data flows
Proficiency in incident, problem, and change management tools (Jira, ServiceNow)
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills15 years full time education
