As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components and applications. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is a key aspect, enabling the creation of solutions that meet specific business requirements while continuously improving system performance and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the implementation of best practices and standards within the team to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address any challenges to maintain timelines and quality.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and experience in developing custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques specific to SAP HANA environments.
- Familiarity with debugging tools and methodologies to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to work with database procedures, CDS views, and integration with SAP modules.
- Understanding of agile software development lifecycle and continuous integration practices.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
