Curriculum Developer - Biology

Purpose

As the role holder, your primary responsibility is to design curriculum and develop related material and resources aligned to the LLPL Values and as per Board (IGCSE/ CBSE) specific guidelines/requirement as well as assess educational materials, such as textbooks, lesson plans, and online resources, to ensure they meet quality standards, align with educational objectives, and adhere to curriculum guidelines.

Role and responsibilities

1. Develop and Review Curriculum Materials:

Develop Curriculum as per guidelines within the timelines set

Develop curriculam components that contain accurate and up to date content knowledge and exhibit sequential learning experiences, making strong links between intended learning outcomes and assessment.

Align curriculum programs with the specifications, assessment requirements and curriculum guidelines of different Boards

Ensure strict adherence to timelines

Evaluate textbooks, lesson plans, worksheets, digital resources, and other educational materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness.

Assess alignment with curriculum standards, educational objectives, and learning outcomes.

Identify any gaps, errors, or inconsistencies in content and instructional design.

2. Collaborate with Stakeholders:

Work closely with subject matter experts, educators, curriculum developers, and instructional

designers to understand project requirements and objectives.

Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improving curriculum materials.

Communicate effectively with team members to address concerns and resolve issues in a timely

manner.

3. Research and Analysis:

Stay updated on current trends, best practices, and advancements in education, curriculum

development, and instructional design.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of curriculum review procedures and standards to

enhance the quality and effectiveness of educational materials.

Conduct research to gather relevant information and resources to support curriculum evaluation

and improvement efforts.

Design learning experiences that cater extensively to students needs, interests, learning styles and abilities applying up to date content knowledge

Design teaching aids and resources including ICT where appropriate

4. Quality Assurance:

Ensure that curriculum materials meet quality standards for content accuracy, instructional clarity,

and pedagogical effectiveness.

Perform thorough quality assurance checks to identify and rectify any errors or inconsistencies in

content, formatting, or presentation.

Qualifications:

Masters and B.Ed with minimum 4 to 12 years of experience teaching/ curriculum development
