About the Role

IMS Noida is looking for an empathetic and dynamic Counselor to guide prospective students and their parents through the academic programs, admission processes, and career pathways offered by the institute. The role involves student counseling, lead management, and admission conversions, while ensuring a positive experience for every student inquiry.

Key Responsibilities

Student Counseling & Guidance:

• Counsel prospective students and parents regarding courses, eligibility, career prospects, and admission procedures.
• Provide personalized guidance to help students choose the right program based on their interests and career goals.
• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions (in-person, telephonic, and online).

Admissions & Lead Management:

• Handle student inquiries from walk-ins, phone calls, emails, education portals, and social media.
• Follow up with leads generated by the marketing team and convert them into enrollments.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and conversions in CRM/ERP systems.
• Guide students through the application, documentation, and fee payment process.

Collaboration & Outreach:

• Work closely with the Strategy & Growth team to align counseling efforts with admission targets.
• Participate in open houses, career counseling sessions, education fairs, and school outreach programs.
• Coordinate with faculty members to provide academic clarity during student interactions.

Communication & Relationship Building:

• Build strong relationships with prospective students and parents to ensure trust and transparency.
• Address queries, resolve concerns, and provide timely updates about admission processes.
• Act as the first point of contact for prospective students, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience.

Reporting & Performance:

• Prepare daily/weekly reports on inquiries handled, follow-ups made, and admissions closed.
• Share student feedback and insights with the marketing and strategy teams to improve campaigns.
• Achieve individual and team counseling/admission conversion targets.

Requirements

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Education, Psychology, Marketing, or related field.
• 25 years of counseling/admissions experience (experience in the education sector preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English & Hindi.
• Strong listening skills with the ability to understand student aspirations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools (Zoho/ERP preferred).
• Goal-oriented with a proven record of achieving admission targets.
