Couchbase Administrator

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Couchbase Administrator responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Couchbase environments. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance tuning, cluster management, and supporting production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Couchbase clusters in production and non-production environments
• Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity planning
• Perform cluster setup, scaling, rebalancing, and failover management
• Handle backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
• Troubleshoot performance issues, latency, and system bottlenecks
• Implement security best practices (RBAC, encryption, access control)
• Work closely with DevOps and development teams for deployments and optimizations
• Automate routine database tasks using scripts/tools
• Manage upgrades, patches, and version migrations
• Ensure high availability and data replication across clusters

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Couchbase administration
• Knowledge of NoSQL database concepts and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems
• Familiarity with cluster management, replication, and indexing
• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization (N1QL)
• Understanding of backup and recovery strategies
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python)
