Job Title: Academic Copyeditor (Research Journals)

About the Role

We are seeking skilled Academic Copyeditors to support a leading global scientific publisher. This role involves copyediting research manuscripts to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to journal-specific editorial standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Copyedit academic manuscripts for clarity, grammar, consistency, and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with journal style guides and formatting standards
• Maintain high editorial quality while working with complex academic content
• Apply appropriate language conventions (e.g., US vs. UK English)
• Ensure correct usage of reference styles (AMA, CSE, etc.)
• Deliver high-quality work within stipulated timelines

Eligibility Criteria

• Masters degree, PhD, or professional degree in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences
• Strong command of English with native-level proficiency
• Prior experience in academic copyediting or relevant professional experience in scientific domains
• Strong understanding of academic writing and publishing standards

Note: Candidates with degrees in Environmental Science, Computer Science, Pharmacy, Zoology, Psychology, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning are not eligible for this role.

Required Skills
