Job Responsibilities

• Monitor global news, geopolitics, and breaking developments to identify strong digital video story opportunities
• Script sharp, engaging explainers and news videos for YouTube and digitalfirst audiences
• Edit scripts with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, grammar, tone, and editorial standards
• Factcheck all scripts, headlines, supers, and onscreen text rigorously
• Take complete ownership of a shift, ensuring smooth coordination and fast turnaround
• Maintain zero tolerance for editorial errors or compromises under tight deadlines
• Apply a platformfirst approach to content creation
• Optimize YouTube elements including titles, thumbnails, metadata, and understand performance analytics

Requirements

• Exceptional writing and editing skills with high attention to detail
• Strong news sense with global awareness; geopolitics knowledge is critical
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fastpaced newsroom environment
• Digitalfirst mindset with solid understanding of videoled news consumption
• Working knowledge of YouTube content strategy is a strong advantage
