Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer located in Hyderabad. The PLC Programmer will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing PLC programs for automation systems, working closely with engineering teams to meet system specifications. The role includes troubleshooting and maintaining existing systems, designing electrical control panels, integrating hardware and software for automated equipment, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.


We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer with a specialization in handling Hydraulic and Pneumatic projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for industrial machinery, with a focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This role requires expertise in PLC programming, automation, and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic control principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Program PLC Systems: Develop, implement, and troubleshoot programmable logic controller (PLC) systems for industrial machinery, ensuring efficient control of hydraulic and pneumatic components.

2.Integrate Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems: Integrate hydraulic and pneumatic systems with PLCs to automate industrial equipment.

3.Design and Documentation: Create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation for control systems, this includes creating Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the control systems.

4.Control System Optimization: Continuously improve control algorithms and logic to enhance machinery performance and efficiency.

5.Testing and Debugging: Perform thorough testing and debugging of PLC programs to identify and rectify issues, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

6.Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, maintenance personnel, and project managers, to understand project requirements and implement effective control solutions.

7.Compliance: Ensure that control systems meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including adherence to industry-specific guidelines.

8.Support during the bidding phase of a new project.

9.Perform factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT).

10.Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Provide support for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems in the event of malfunctions.

11.Training: Train operators and maintenance personnel in the use and maintenance of control systems

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / ECE, Automation, or a related field. (Or equivalent work experience)

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a PLC Programmer.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a PLC Programmer handling process industry or Hydraulics and Pneumatics automation.

Proficiency in programming PLCs particularly Delta, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, including knowledge of ladder logic, structured text, or other relevant programming languages.

Experience in working with hydraulic and pneumatic components, such as pumps, valves, actuators, and sensors.

Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety protocols.

Experience with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) configuration & programming.

Experience with SCADA design and configuration.

Familiarity with specific PLC brands and platforms, i.e. Delta, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, etc. is an advantage.

Knowledge on hydraulic and pneumatic systems is desirable.

Familiarity with NI Controller and LabVIEW is preferable.
