Job Description

As an Analyst in our Bank Controller, Accounting Policy and Reporting (BCAPR) organization, you will spend each day supporting Legal Entity Controller responsibilities for key firm legal entities, including the Lead Bank, Parent Company, and Intermediate Holding Company. You will be responsible for partnering across the firm to provide controllership and advisory support to the business, help govern regulated firmwide inter-entity policies, and contribute to the firm’s legal entity strategy, simplification agenda, and capital monitoring. You will also support the development of global accounting and disclosure policies and assist with the submission of the firm’s consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements to the SEC on Forms 10‑Q and 10‑K.

Job Responsibilities

  • Apply accounting knowledge to support accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and deliver month-end financial reports in line with close timelines
  • Maintain and ensure data integrity across reports, supporting user tools, and underlying data sources
  • Consolidate and validate regulatory reports
  • Reconcile data between the firm’s general ledger and sub-ledger systems
  • Analyze and report monthly on SAPCO expense allocations and provide summary reporting
  • Support new migrations and incremental activity onboarding
  • Learn and adopt efficiency tools to enhance the operating model and add value to the team
     

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong accounting fundamentals and understanding of financial reporting concepts
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent command of English, with the ability to articulate needs and collaborate with peers, cross-LOB teams, and management
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP tools such as SAP, BPC, CDGL
  • Control/documentation experience and an agile background/mindset
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to overall team objectives

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Willingness to work the EMEA shift (1:30 PM to 10:30 PM) and deliver against tight deadlines; occasional 1–2 hour extensions during quarter-ends
  • Exposure to business intelligence and automation tools such as Alteryx, Tableau is an advantage
