What youll own
This is not a make reels role. This is a build a brand from the inside out role.
Own Leaps voice as an employer across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
Plan and drive the content calendar -what we say, when we say it, and why it matters
Conceptualize and create videos that people actually want to watch
Shoot and edit content end-to-end - from raw idea to final post
Tell real stories -from product launches to founder conversations to behind-the-scenes moments
Experiment across formats:
Podcast-style conversations
Walk-and-talk narratives
Product/feature storytelling
Event and culture moments
Crack distribution - understand platform algorithms and optimize for reach, engagement, and recall
Build a repeatable content engine, not just one-off posts
What makes this role different
You dont execute briefs. You define them.
You wont be stuck in templates. Youll create formats.
Youre not optimizing for vanity metrics. Youre shaping perception.
You wont just post content.
Youll build Leaps face to the outside world.
Skills & Traits that matter
Craft (non-negotiable)
Extremely comfortable shooting on a phone framing, angles, stability, audio
Bonus: experience with DSLR / mirrorless cameras
Strong understanding of lighting natural, indoor, low-light, makeshift setups
Hands-on with editing tools:
InShot / CapCut for fast, high-output edits
Adobe Premiere Pro for deeper, polished storytelling
You care about pacing, hooks, and retention, not just editing
Platform & Distribution Thinking
Understand how Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter actually work
Know what makes people stop scrolling, watch, and engage
Can tweak content based on what the platform rewards
How you operate (this matters more than tools)
High agency you dont wait for direction, you create it
Open to discussion & feedback you can defend your ideas, but also evolve them
Strong communicator you can translate messy ideas into clear content
Great with stakeholders founders, teams, employees you can work with all
Easy to work with no ego, just good work and good energy
