Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical reference for electronic hardware within the plant.
  • Provide expert guidance on product design, manufacturability, and reliability.
  • Mentor and support engineering teams to build technical capability.
  • Proactively identify technical risks, potential failures, and performance gaps.
  • Lead risk assessment activities (FMEA, risk reviews) and define mitigation plans.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvement and cost optimization.
  • Lead resolution of complex technical issues affecting quality and production.
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, RCA, Six Sigma tools).
  • Ensure timely closure of escalations with sustainable corrective actions.
  • Ensure products meet functional, regulatory, and performance requirements.
  • Validate robustness under manufacturing and field conditions.
  • Drive compliance with internal standards and quality requirements.
  • Act as the technical interface between Design, Continuous Engineering, IST4, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, industrialization reviews, and change management discussions.
  • Ensure seamless communication and alignment across functions.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and industrialization activities.
  • Ensure product designs are feasible and optimized for manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate to improve yield, efficiency, and production stability.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Promote best practices, lessons learned, and standardization.
  • Contribute to innovation and technical excellence within the organization.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
  • Strong experience in electronics hardware, manufacturing, or industrialization
  • Knowledge of PCB design, testing, and reliability engineering
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Exposure to cross-functional/global project environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Technical leadership and decision-making ability
  • Effective stakeholder communication
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment
