Consultant

Seeking an experienced offshore technical support resource to support AS400-based JDA MMS (Merchandise Management System) environment. The resource will provide application and operational support, assist with issue resolution, and support ongoing maintenance and enhancements. Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for AS400 JDA MMS applications
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, including batch jobs, interfaces, and data errors
• Support daily operational activities (jobs, monitoring, troubleshooting)
• Assist with defect fixes, minor enhancements, and configuration changes
• Collaborate with onshore teams, business users, and vendors
• Create/update technical documentation and support artifacts
• Support testing efforts for patches, upgrades, and fixes

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with JDA MMS on AS400
• Solid IBM i / AS400 knowledge (DB2, job monitoring, system utilities)
• Experience with RPG / CL (read/debug level; development a plus)
• Understanding of retail merchandising processes (items, pricing, inventory)
• Experience supporting batch processing and interfaces
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting JDA in a retail enterprise environment
• Experience working with offshore/onshore delivery models
• Familiarity with change management and ITIL-based support processes
• Proficiency with L-series tools
