The Art of Storytelling in Business Presentations
About the Role
We recommend engaging a trainer with a strong management consulting background, preferably from a Tier 1 consulting firm such as McKinsey & Company, BCG, or Bain. The trainer should bring a combination of real world consulting experience, executive communication expertise, and proven facilitation skills to deliver a highly practical and impactful learning experience.
Responsibilities
- 4 to 8+ years of experience with McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or a comparable Tier 1 consulting firm.
- Direct experience creating executive level presentations, client recommendations, and business storytelling artifacts for senior stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in consulting communication frameworks, including:
- SCR (Situation, Complication, Resolution)
- SCQA Storylining
- Pyramid Principle
- MECE Thinking
- Executive Communication and Persuasion
- Proven track record of delivering corporate workshops on business communication, storytelling, presentation skills, or consulting methodologies.
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical professionals.
- Experience conducting live presentation reviews, coaching sessions, and practical exercises.
- Ability to customize examples and case studies for audiences across Analytics, Engineering, Product, Research, and Business functions.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching senior leaders, client facing teams, and high potential talent.
- Exposure to technology, digital transformation, AI, analytics, or product organizations.
- Experience delivering training programs for large enterprises and global teams.
- Certifications or formal training in facilitation, executive coaching, communication, or leadership development.
- Established independent trainer or consultant with strong participant feedback and references.
Recommended Skills
The ideal trainer would be a Senior Engagement Manager or executive communication coach with experience in business storytelling and client presentations. They should have practical expertise in applying the Pyramid Principle, SCQA, and structured communication frameworks, and in facilitating workshops that help participants convert technical insights into compelling business narratives.
Given the audience includes Research, Data, Analytics, Engineering, Product, and Strategy teams, the trainer should be comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders and be able to demonstrate consulting style approaches to creating presentations that influence decisions and drive action.
