Function Name : Configuration Manager (Automotive)

Job Description:
The Configuration Manager (CM) role is responsible for all aspects of Systems Configuration Management. The Configuration Manager is responsible for the identification, management, and tracking of configuration management activities for BW Power Drive Systems projects. This role requires working closely with Project Leads and System and Software Engineers and is the interface to global platform stakeholders for CM activities.
Responsibilities
Identify configuration work products.
Establish a configuration management structure for system artifacts.
Ensure ASPICE business practices are followed for SUP9 and SUP10.
Deploying and Practising Change and Defect Management Strategy in project.
Create Templates for Defect and Change management workflow for the project.
Define Defect and CR scope for release in conjunction with SYPL, SWDL, SYDL and HWDL.
Drive engagement and outcome via Change Control Board.
Define the configuration items to be included in system releases.
Maintain configuration management documentation in adherence to processes.
Track and provide configuration management status.
Manage the CM plan within the toolchain.
Support the change control process.
Support defect resolution tracking.
Assist the project leadership in planning of software releases.
Support work product baselining.
Support internal and external audits.
Define Change and Defect Management Strategy for System, SW and HW development depending on the scope of the project.
Monitor the progress of Defects and Change request based on scope.
Communicate the status of CRs and Defects as per the strategy to different stakeholders.
Responsible for providing timely response to Customer for incoming change request collaborating with Sales team.
Responsible for demonstrating Change and Defect management practices of the project in ASPICE audits.
Collaborate with Process and Quality Team to ensure best practices are adopted.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar
4+ years engineering experience in automotive engineering, or masters engineering degree, certification or coursework.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
Automotive systems, software or electronics experience preferred
Experience with functional safety (ISO26262) requirements.
Knowledge of Cyber security (ISO 21434)
Experience of working within an ASPICE based process environment (or similar)
Previous experience using configuration management tools
Experience project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, RTC).
Global Experience working with multiple regions and multiple cultures
