Computer Security Specialist

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Security Specialist role based in Mumbai. The Computer Security Specialist will design, implement, and maintain security measures across applications, networks, and information systems. Daily responsibilities include monitoring security tools and logs, investigating alerts and incidents, performing vulnerability assessments, and supporting security audits and compliance activities. The role involves collaborating with IT teams to harden systems, define secure configurations, and support secure architecture for client environments. The specialist will also create and maintain security documentation, contribute to security awareness initiatives, and recommend improvements to policies, processes, and controls.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks.
• Hands-on experience in Application Security, including secure coding principles, vulnerability scanning, and remediation support.
• Proficiency in Network Security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network segmentation practices.
• Broad understanding of Information Technology environments, including operating systems, servers, cloud platforms, and endpoint security.
• Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (such as ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2) and basic understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management) and incident response workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to document findings and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively on-site in Mumbai, collaborate in a team-oriented environment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
