Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated CAD Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in 3D modeling, drafting, GD&T, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience in CAD design using SolidWorks

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficient in SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, detailing, drawing creation)
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) per ASME Y14.5-2018
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, injection molding, fabrication, etc.)
• Good knowledge of engineering materials and their applications
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience in preparing BOMs, technical documentation, and engineering reports
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as in on an international team

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using SolidWorks
• Apply GD&T to ensure accurate and functional engineering drawings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, suppliers)
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, BOMs, and revision records
• Support prototype development, testing, and design optimization
• Assist in improving design standards and CAD best practices
• Create and maintain 2D drawing templates for use across several disciplines
• Ensure design feasibility based on manufacturing and material constraints
