AWS Cloud Security Specialist

Skills and Experience required:

6 to 18 years of experience in cloud security engineering and Cloud security operations supporting AWS environments.
Strong hands on experience with AWS security services such as AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, AWS Config, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
Ability to operationalize Security Hub and GuardDuty findings into triage, investigation, and remediation workflows
Experience building and tuning detection and monitoring using CloudTrail and CloudWatch telemetry for security use cases
Working knowledge of AWS security best practices and governance expectations (policy guardrails, configuration compliance, audit support)
Strong communication skills to coordinate remediation with resolver teams and maintain crisp documentation/runbooks

Qualification & Certification preference:

Bachelors in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent
AWS Security Specialty / AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) / equivalent cloud security certification

Responsibilities:

Enable and manage GuardDuty for continuous threat detection across the AWS ecosystem
Centralize findings using AWS Security Hub and drive action on prioritized findings
Configure and maintain AWS Config rules to detect misconfigurations and enforce security posture expectations
Monitor and investigate security-relevant telemetry via CloudTrail and CloudWatch (alerts, logs, event patterns)
Perform triage and investigation of high-severity alerts; coordinate remediation actions with resolver teams
Produce operational and compliance-ready security reporting and provide evidence for audits where required
Maintain SOPs/runbooks and contribute to continuous improvement of detection coverage and response quality
