Role Overview
A Category Manager at Slikk works at the intersection of revenue, merchandising, and partnerships to build and scale the BPC vertical.
The role focuses on owning the category end-to-endfrom assortment and brand partnerships to pricing, promotions, and P&L performance.
You will use data to identify opportunities, solve business problems, and drive growth. This role requires strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and a high ownership mindset in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Ownership & P&L: Own end-to-end performance of the category including revenue, margins, and growth.
- Assortment & Merchandising: Curate the right product mix, onboard relevant brands, and optimize assortment for demand and trends.
- Brand Partnerships: Build and manage relationships with brands; drive negotiations, collaborations, and growth initiatives.
- Pricing & Promotions: Design and execute pricing strategies, offers, and campaigns to maximize conversions and margins.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze customer behavior, basket trends, and performance metrics to identify gaps and opportunities.

- Relevant Experience: 2-4 year experience in category management, e-commerce, retail or startup roles.
- Analytical & Business Thinking: Ability to work with data, identify trends, and drive revenue-focused decisions.
- Ownership Mindset: Strong bias for action with the ability to solve problems end-to-end.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and manage brand and partner relationships.
- Execution Excellence: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Category Interest: Strong interest, ideally a heavy user, of the relevant category.
