In this role, you'll be employed by Teamd while working exclusively with our client, a legal and social impact organization operating a referral pathway for domestic abuse victims. You'll gain the career support of Teamd alongside meaningful, mission-driven work.

The Role

As a Caseworker / Legal Assistant, you will be the primary point of contact for victims of domestic abuse, helping them navigate family law matters with a focus on Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders.Due to the nature of this role and the client group being supported, applications from women are particularly encouraged. You'll provide empathetic guidance, draft legal documents, and work with solicitor partners to progress cases efficiently while meeting monthly caseload targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance to clients on their rights and options under family law (domestic abuse focus)
• Deliver patient, professional, and sympathetic support to clients in crisis
• Work with solicitor partners to manage a complex caseload
• Prepare case bundles, witness statements, and supporting legal documents
• Maintain organized client files and case administration
• Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with legal standards

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Understanding of family law principles.
• Prior experience in legal support or social services (preferred)

Skills:

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong empathy and ability to work with vulnerable populations
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
