Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Canada Payroll Manager to oversee and

manage all aspects of payroll operations for our Canadian workforce. The ideal candidate

will have extensive experience in Canadian payroll processing, a deep understanding of

payroll legislation, and expertise in handling ROE, Tax, and T4 compliance. This role

requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and

compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all Canadian employees, ensuring

accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Maintain and stay current with Canadian payroll legislation, including updates to

employment standards, tax laws, and reporting requirements.

Prepare, review, and file Records of Employment (ROE) in accordance with Service

Canada guidelines.

Calculate and remit payroll taxes, CPP, EI, and other statutory deductions

accurately and on time.

Prepare and distribute T4 slips annually, ensuring compliance with CRA

requirements.

Ensure proper classification of employees and contractors, and handle any payroll

discrepancies or issues promptly.

Maintain detailed payroll records and documentation in compliance with legal and

company standards.

Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Audit teams to ensure seamless payroll

integration and compliance.

Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and statutory reporting.

Implement and improve payroll processes, systems, and controls to enhance

efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience managing payroll for Canadian employees, with a strong

understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.

In-depth knowledge of ROE, T4, and payroll tax regulations in Canada.

Experience with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, ADP, SAP, or

equivalent).

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information

professionally.

Knowledge of employment standards and statutory requirements across Canadian

provinces.

Certification in payroll administration (e.g., CPP, CPPA) is a plus.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or

related field preferred.
