C# Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced C# Developer to support application transition, discovery and modernization initiatives. The role will act as a key technical authority during vendor-to-in-house transitions, ensuring strong understanding of application architecture, integrations and operational stability. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in C#/.NET development, application architecture, APIs, and enterprise systems along with the ability to work closely with vendors, cloud and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage application discovery and analyze architecture, APIs, business logic, data models and integrations.
• Validate vendor documentation and knowledge transfer against actual code and system behaviour.
• Identify technical debt, architectural risks, legacy dependencies and integration gaps.
• Support transition planning, stabilization and modernization activities.
• Drive technical knowledge transfer sessions with external vendors.
• Review code, architectural decisions and integration approaches.
• Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure secure and scalable solutions.
• Support DevOps, CI/CD, deployment readiness and operational stability.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve code understanding, documentation and engineering efficiency.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on expertise in C#.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, REST APIs, SQL/databases and integrations.
• Experience working with complex enterprise applications and large codebases.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with external vendors or third-party teams.

Preferred:

• Experience in application transitions, migrations or modernization projects.
• Exposure to AWS cloud environments.
• Familiarity with security and compliance practices.
• Experience using AI tools for engineering productivity and automation.

Additional:

• Based in Mumbai with flexibility to attend office when required.
• Availability outside standard working hours may be needed during critical support activities.
