Job Description
Reporting To: COO
Location: Corporate Office, Thane, Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term business strategies for the Data Centre business vertical.
- Identify market opportunities in hyperscale, enterprise, cloud service providers, telecom operators and colocation markets.
- Lead the overall P&L responsibility for the data centre business unit.
- Establish growth roadmap including capacity expansion, new locations and strategic investments.
- Drive alignment between sales, technical, finance and project teams.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in data centre infrastructure development and services.
- Build relationships with hyperscales, cloud providers, IT companies and telecom operators.
- Lead large deal negotiations and commercial discussions with key clients.
- Develop strategic partnerships, joint ventures and alliances to expand market reach.
- Achieve revenue, order booking and profitability targets.
- Manage relationships with key enterprise clients, hyperscale customers and global technology partners.
- Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences and client meetings.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term contracts.
- Monitor data centre industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor strategies.
- Identify opportunities in AI infrastructure, edge data centres, cloud computing and colocation services.
- Evaluate new markets and locations for data centre expansion.
- Work closely with engineering, project execution and operations teams for timely delivery of data centre projects.
- Support tendering, proposal development and technical-commercial bids.
- Ensure projects meet client specifications, cost targets, and timelines.
- Develop business plans, financial models and investment proposals for data centre projects.
- Monitor revenue performance, margins and cost optimization.
- Participate in fundraising, investor discussions and strategic investments related to the data centre business.
- Build and lead a high-performing business development and sales team.
- Provide mentoring and performance management.
- Foster a results-driven and client-focused culture.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Revenue and order booking from data centre projects
- Market share growth in data centre sector
- Strategic partnerships and new client acquisitions
- Profitability and margin improvement
- Successful execution of large data centre deals
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering electrical / mechanical / civil
- MBA in Marketing / Strategy / Finance preferred
Experience:
- 1822 years of experience in business development, strategy and in leadership roles
- Strong exposure to data centre infrastructure, IT infrastructure, EPC projects or digital infrastructure sector
Experience working with hyperscale clients, cloud providers or telecom companies preferred.
