Summary:
As a Business Architect, a typical day involves evaluating existing business processes to uncover opportunities that can enhance value for the organization. This role requires gathering and analyzing high-level requirements from various stakeholders and designing comprehensive business solutions that align with strategic goals. The professional actively supports organizational transformation by preparing detailed business cases and providing guidance throughout the implementation of critical initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new operating models is a key aspect of daily activities, fostering continuous improvement and innovation within the business environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand business requirements within Oracle RMS context
-Prepare detailed test scenarios covering RMS functional areas like merchandising, pricing, inventory & replenishment
-Author test scripts with step-by-step instructions, expected results and RMS data setup conditions
-Map test scenarios to business requirements for full traceability
-Review and validate test scripts with business stakeholders before execution
-Test case execution & defect management
-Execute functional and regression test cases across RMS modules
-Log, track and triage defects with clear reproduction steps
-Coordinate with development teams on defect resolution and retest cycles
-Perform end-to-end scenario validation covering RMS-to-downstream integrations
-Prepare test execution metrics — test cases planned vs executed, pass/fail rates, defect density
-Track and report defect aging, severity distribution and open/closed trends
-Maintain test coverage traceability matrix and sign-off documentation
- Document and communicate business architecture artifacts to support decision-making processes.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS).
- Strong analytical skills to assess business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Experience in translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technology solutions.
- Ability to develop comprehensive business cases that support strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and facilitate collaboration.
- Familiarity with operating model design and implementation within retail or related industries.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
