Experience - 0 to 4 years(Post PHD)
Location - Vadodara
Timings - 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Role Overview
We are seeking Biomedical Engineer with expertise in ultrasound acoustics and transducer technology to lead the development of a next-generation ultrasound imaging systems. The role is highly technical and spans the full product development cycle from transducer design and acoustic characterization through FPGA-based system integration, validation, and regulatory-compliant testing. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of hardware, signal processing, and clinical imaging, collaborating closely with academic institutions, hardware engineers, Software & AI Development team, cross-functional R&D teams. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-impact project with long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and evaluate piezoelectric / CMUT-based ultrasound transducers for medical imaging applications.
- Perform comprehensive acoustic field characterization including beam profile mapping, pressure field measurement, and frequency response analysis using K-Wave and Field II simulation or any suitable simulation platforms.
- Develop Experimental validation Strategies (Eg hydrophone-based acoustic measurement systems).
- Collaborate with FPGA and embedded systems engineers to integrate transducers with TX/RX front-end electronics and high-voltage pulsers.
- Conduct experiments to ensure signal fidelity and acoustic outputs.
- Carryout Phantom based Testing for imaging validation.
- Design and execute pulse-echo test protocols to assess transducer sensitivity, bandwidth, and insertion loss.
- Validate real-time B-mode and CW Doppler imaging pipelines; contribute to image quality benchmarking (TCG and Beamforming Techniques).
- Development and/or debugging of MATLAB/Python-based signal processing scripts for Image Acquisition post-processing & Analysis.
- Design acoustic output measurements strategies (MI, TI, ISPTA) in compliance with relevant IEC & FDA/CE standards.
- Maintain calibrated test setups, data logs, design reviews and verification/validation documentation in accordance with quality systems.
- Engage with academic research partners and contribute to collaborative research programmes.
- Support preparation of test reports for regulatory submissions and internal design reviews.
- Participate in design reviews, progress meetings, and cross-functional working groups.
