Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Architectural BIM Manager with approximately 10 years of experience in the Architectural outsourcing industry to lead BIM operations, Architectural Construction Documentation teams, project execution, and client coordination for international projects.

The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in:

• Architectural BIM workflows
• Revit-based project execution
• Construction Documentation (CD) Sets
• Permit Sets
• Design Development (DD) sets
• Working Drawings
• Architectural detailing
• International building standards and codes
• Team management and project delivery

This role requires a professional who can manage multiple Architectural BIM and Construction Documentation projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality deliverables, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

The candidate should have prior experience handling projects for Architectural firms, Developers, and Construction companies in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

BIM & Construction Documentation Management

• Lead and manage Architectural BIM and Construction Documentation projects from initiation to final delivery
• Oversee the development and review of Architectural DD Sets, CD Sets, Permit Sets, Working Drawings, and Detailed Construction Documentation
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and coordination of all Architectural drawing packages and BIM deliverables
• Manage project timelines, team allocation, and delivery schedules for multiple international projects
• Ensure all construction documents comply with client standards, project specifications, and international codes

Architectural Construction Documentation Oversight

• Review and manage complete Architectural DD Sets, Construction Documentation Sets & Permit Drawing packages.
• Ensure constructability and technical accuracy of Architectural DD Sets, CD Sets, and construction documentation packages
• Coordinate drawing standards and sheet organization across projects
• Establish documentation workflows and best practices for high-quality construction drawings

BIM Leadership & Technical Management

• Develop and implement BIM standards, workflows, templates, and best practices
• Ensure proper implementation of:
• BIM Execution Plans (BEP)
• LOD Standards
• ISO 19650 workflows
• Revit standards and protocols
• Lead BIM coordination and model management activities
• Oversee clash detection and interdisciplinary coordination processes
• Guide teams in resolving complex technical and documentation-related challenges

Team Leadership & Operations

• Lead teams of Architects, BIM Modelers, Revit Technicians, and Team Leaders
• Monitor team productivity, quality, and project performance
• Conduct technical reviews, mentoring sessions, and team training programs
• Support hiring, onboarding, and skill development initiatives
• Establish a collaborative and process-driven work culture

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

• Conduct QA/QC reviews of BIM Models, Architectural CD Sets, and construction documentation packages
• Ensure all deliverables meet company quality standards and client expectations
• Develop and maintain quality control checklists and review systems
• Minimize rework and improve documentation accuracy through process improvements

Client Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Attend client meetings and coordination calls related to quotations, RFIs, project requirements, scope discussions, and ongoing project execution
• Participate in technical discussions related to BIM execution, Architectural DD Sets, CD Sets, and construction documentation deliverables
• Understand client requirements and assist in defining project scope, deliverables, and execution strategies
• Coordinate effectively between clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely communication
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients through quality delivery and communication
• Handle project escalations proactively and coordinate with teams to resolve technical and project-related concerns
• Ensure timely follow-ups on RFIs, markups, approvals, revisions, and project communications

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and BIM automation
• Implement efficient processes for construction documentation production and project coordination
• Work with tools such as Dynamo and BIM automation technologies to improve productivity
• Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, documentation standards, and industry best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture

Experience

• Approximately 10 years of experience in:
• Architectural BIM
• Construction Documentation
• Architectural CD Sets
• Working Drawings
• Project Management
• Team Handling
• International Outsourcing Operations
• Prior experience in Architectural outsourcing firms is mandatory

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in:
• Autodesk Revit
• AutoCAD
• Navisworks
• BIM 360 / ACC
• Bluebeam (preferred)
• Strong understanding of:
• Architectural DD Set development
• Construction Documentation workflows
• Permit Set preparation
• BIM coordination
• Revit standards
• Clash detection
• Construction detailing
• International Architectural standards and building codes

International Project Exposure

• Hands-on experience delivering projects for clients in:
• USA
• UK
• Canada
• Australia
• Europe

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large Architectural BIM and Construction Documentation teams
• Strong expertise in Architectural DD Set, CD Set, and Permit Set production and coordination
• Knowledge of Dynamo scripting and BIM automation workflows
• Understanding of ISO 19650 standards and BIM implementation strategies
• Experience in Scan-to-BIM and As-built documentation projects
• PMP or BIM-related certifications would be an added advantage
