Job Description
Our client is looking for a Benefits Operations Specialist to support in shaping the employee experience globally by administering thoughtful, business-critical and people-focused programs. You will be a key member of the People Operations team focused on delivering an exceptional employee experience across the People Operations & Benefits teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with great customer service skills and broad knowledge of global employee benefits programs & processes.
People Operations Specialist (Benefits) job description:
- First line support in response to employee requests and queries on policies, processes, resources, etc. - triage, prioritize, and escalate as appropriate
- Support leave of absence (LOA), and other time away inquiries/requests and provide administrative LOA support to the global benefits team
- Administering benefits, leave of absence (LOA), and workers compensation processes.
- Reporting benefits plan information to upper management.
- Providing information to explain changes in benefits to employees and answering employee queries about benefits policies.
- Strong service orientation, and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with users, peers, office and firm management, and outside business partners
- Strong organizational skills, including effective documentation and management of benefits operations processes and workflows. Ensure consistent and timely upkeep of knowledge content.
- Participate in training, review and improvement of new tasks/processes transitioned to People Operations as we expand the Shared Services support globally
- Provide support for ad-hoc requests, tasks and projects as needed
- Streamline and simplify our benefits processes to drive efficiency and operational success
- Support benefits process for employee lifecycle (hire to retire) in the US & globally
- Support benefits statutory program and compliance execution (i.e. HCSF, benefits-in-kind reporting and audits, COBRA subsidy administration, processing pension forms, and others)
- Monitor file integration, perform testing as needed
- Benefits program invoices audit and support
- Partner with the benefits team to understand upcoming policy and program changes
- Assist with maintenance and updates for benefits-related content
- Support benefits audits as needed
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in benefits operations, benefits administration, global employee benefits, and/or leave management
- Fluent in English- speaking, writing, and reading.
- Previous experience working in Workday & ServiceNow is highly desired
- Experience working in a high-speed, global technology company preferred
