Job Description
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (BDM) role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The BDM will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and manage a strong sales pipeline, and drive revenue growth across DEONICS IT, software, web, and app development services. Daily responsibilities include researching target markets, generating and following up on leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, and preparing proposals and commercial terms in coordination with technical and delivery teams. The role involves nurturing existing accounts, gathering client feedback, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to refine service offerings and go-to-market strategies. The BDM will also track sales performance, maintain accurate CRM records, and provide regular forecasts and reports to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing B2B deals in technology or IT services.
- Experience with client relationship management, including stakeholder engagement, account management, and negotiation.
- Ability to understand and position services such as software development, web development, app development, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity for business customers.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions in clear, commercial terms.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, basic sales reporting, and use of productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software).
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in IT services, SaaS, or technology consulting environments is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet targets, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort working on-site in the Kolkata metropolitan area and meeting clients as required.
