Backend Engineer

We are looking for a skilled backend/API engineer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance data delivery APIs for a regulated healthcare/compliance platform.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in Python & FastAPI (or similar frameworks)

Experience in building REST APIs (async & sync)

Hands-on with OAuth, RBAC, token-based authentication & API security

Experience with API Gateway & enterprise integration patterns

Strong knowledge of microservices & containerization (Docker/K8s)

Experience integrating with Snowflake & AWS S3

Knowledge of batch data delivery (SFTP/ECG or similar)

Strong in logging, monitoring, observability & error handling

Experience in performance tuning & scalable system design

Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows & production deployments

Exposure to regulated environments (Healthcare / Compliance) preferred

Key Responsibilities

Design & develop FastAPI-based REST APIs (async, batch & real-time)

Build secure data access services with authentication & authorization

Integrate APIs with API Gateway & enterprise security systems

Implement batch extraction workflows & real-time data APIs

Work with Snowflake & S3 for data access & delivery

Ensure audit logging, compliance & observability

Handle error management, retries & performance optimization

Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, QA & stakeholders

Support SIT, UAT & production deployments
