Backend Developer

About Position:

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer with strong experience in Java/J2EE, PostgreSQL, and SOAP-based integrations to build and enhance scalable backend systems. This role requires someone who can work in a fast-paced startup environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and deliver high?quality, secure, and optimized backend services. Candidates with telecom exposure, especially EMS FCAPS for RAN products, will have an added advantage.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java/J2EE and SOAP
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexing, and stored procedures
• Develop and integrate SOAP APIs with frontend and third-party systems
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of backend systems
• Perform database performance tuning including query and index optimization
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend systems, APIs, and databases
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data
• Use Shell and Python scripting for automation and backend support
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical meetings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features
• Work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a startup environment
• Manage multiple tasks with strong ownership and accountability

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, data structures, design patterns, and related technologies
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL including schema design, database management, and query optimization
• Proven experience with SOAP-based APIs
• Solid understanding of Hibernate, JPA, and related Java frameworks
• Experience with Shell and Python scripting
• Prior exposure to EMS FCAPS functionalities for RAN products (advantage)
• Knowledge of YANG definitions and modeling rules
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to work in a competitive, fast-paced environment
