Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Backend Developer role based in New Delhi. The Backend Developer will design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs that power BillCuts debt management products. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing robust business logic, integrating with third-party financial and payment systems, optimizing application performance, and ensuring reliability, security, and data integrity. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and front-end engineers to deliver end-to-end features, as well as participating in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of the technology stack. The Backend Developer will also help maintain documentation and contribute to architectural decisions that support growth and long-term maintainability.
Qualifications

Strong programming fundamentals and experience in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including building and maintaining APIs and microservices.
Familiarity with Front-End Development concepts to effectively collaborate with UI engineers.
Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), version control (e.g., Git), and RESTful or GraphQL API design.
Understanding of secure coding practices, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in fintech, payment systems, or financial services products is a plus.
