We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Backend Application Developer who can architect, develop, and scale secure backend systems powering our healthcare applications, connected devices, real-time dashboards, and cloud-based healthcare intelligence platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Backend Development

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices architecture for healthcare applications and IoT-enabled medical devices.
• Develop high-performance server-side logic for web and mobile applications.
• Create reusable, optimized, and maintainable backend modules.

System Architecture & Scalability

• Architect scalable backend infrastructure capable of handling large-scale healthcare screening and device data.
• Design distributed systems for real-time data synchronization and monitoring.
• Optimize backend performance, database queries, caching, and load balancing.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of applications.

Database & Data Management

• Design and manage relational and NoSQL databases.
• Develop secure healthcare data storage and retrieval systems.
• Implement database optimization, indexing, backup, and disaster recovery mechanisms.
• Maintain data integrity and audit trails for medical applications.

Cloud & DevOps Integration

• Deploy and manage applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, uptime, and application logs.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for infrastructure automation and security compliance.

Security & Compliance

• Implement secure authentication and authorization systems (JWT, OAuth2, RBAC).
• Ensure HIPAA-like healthcare data protection principles and secure API communication.
• Implement encryption standards for healthcare and patient-related data.
• Support compliance integration related to ABDM, HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability frameworks.

Device & IoT Integration

• Integrate backend systems with medical devices, IoT hardware, and sensor-based platforms.
• Support real-time device communication and telemetry data pipelines.
• Work closely with firmware and embedded teams for seamless device-to-cloud communication.

Collaboration & Product Development

• Collaborate with frontend developers, AI engineers, biomedical engineers, and product teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, and technical reviews.
• Write clean documentation, API specifications, and deployment guidelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure continuous system improvements.

Required Technical Skills:

Programming Languages & Frameworks

Strong expertise in one or more:

• Python (FastAPI / Django / Flask)
• Node.js (Express.js / NestJS)
• Java (Spring Boot)
• PHP (Laravel)

Backend & API Development

• RESTful API development
• Microservices architecture
• WebSockets and real-time communication
• API Gateway integration
• Swagger/OpenAPI documentation

Databases

Experience with:

• PostgreSQL
• MySQL
• MongoDB
• Redis
• Firebase (optional)

Cloud & Infrastructure

Hands-on experience with:

• AWS / Azure / GCP
• Docker & Kubernetes
• NGINX
• Linux server administration
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)

Security & Authentication

• JWT Authentication
• OAuth2
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• API security best practices
• Encryption & secure data handling

Additional Preferred Skills

• IoT backend systems
• MQTT protocol
• Real-time dashboards
• AI/ML model API integration
• Healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR/HL7)
• ABDM ecosystem integration
• Experience handling medical or healthcare data

Educational Qualification

Bachelors or Masters degree in:

• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Electronics & Communication
• Software Engineering
• Related technical disciplines

Experience

• 26 years of backend development experience.
• Healthcare, MedTech, IoT, SaaS, or cloud-platform experience preferred.
