About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems for fintech platforms and financial transactions. The ideal candidate will design and implement microservices, ensure data security, and maintain compliance with fintech regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for fintech applications.
• Build RESTful and gRPC microservices to support scalable architectures.
• Implement secure data storage, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
• Work with databases including PostgreSQL/MySQL with proper indexing, transactions, and data modeling.
• Implement event-driven systems using Kafka/RabbitMQ and background job processing.
• Ensure compliance with PCI, KYC, and AML regulations.
• Deploy backend services on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with frontend and ML teams to integrate services seamlessly.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize backend processes.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python (Django/Flask), Node.js, or Java.
• Experience designing and deploying REST and gRPC microservices.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL, transactions, indexing, and data modeling.
• Understanding of JWT, OAuth2, encryption at rest and in transit.
• Familiarity with audit logging, rate limiting, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ and background job processing.
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FinTech or Banking domain.
• Knowledge of scalable microservices, secure architecture, and compliance frameworks.
