Back End Developer

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python to design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. The role focuses on developing APIs, managing data workflows, and building automation through cron jobs while ensuring clean, modular, and maintainable code. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-ready applications in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Python
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend and external systems
• Develop and maintain cron jobs and automation scripts to support business workflows
• Ensure high-quality code through testing, debugging, and peer reviews
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design efficient data models and queries
• Implement scalable and secure backend solutions following best practices
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud (Compute Engine, GCS)
• Containerize applications using Docker and ensure consistency across environments
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, code reviews, and daily stand-ups
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution
• Maintain documentation for development, deployment, and system processes
• Suggest enhancements to improve system performance, security, and maintainability

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5 to 8 years of strong hands-on experience in Python development
• Experience with frameworks such as Flask or Django
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and integration
• Proficiency in working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Strong experience in Bash scripting and automation tasks
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application deployment
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, GCS) or similar cloud platforms
• Understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming, and functional programming concepts
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to write clean, secure, well-documented, and maintainable code
• Familiarity with MVC/MVVM architectural patterns
• Good understanding of frontend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript) is a plus
• Experience with CI/CD practices and microservices architecture is an advantage
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
