Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain robust server-side applications, APIs, and core platform services powering our digital consultation platform.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on coding experience and be actively involved in development. This role requires a problem-solving mindset, ownership attitude, and the ability to build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

API Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs using REST, GraphQL, and gRPC.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.

Backend Services

• Develop and manage core platform modules, including:
• User account and profile management
• Service provider onboarding and management
• Booking and session scheduling systems
• Wallet, payments, and transaction workflows
• Ensure services are scalable, modular, and easy to maintain.

Database Management

• Design, develop, and optimize database schemas.
• Write efficient queries and ensure data integrity.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of database systems.

Real-Time Systems

• Build real-time features such as messaging and notifications.
• Develop WebSocket-based communication systems.
• Ensure low latency and high availability in real-time interactions.

Collaboration & Ownership

• Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features from development to deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvements.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 37 years of strong backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or Go.
• Strong understanding of API design and backend architecture.
• Experience building scalable and high-performance systems.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Tech Stack / Tools

• Backend Languages: Node.js / Python / Java / C# / Go / TypeScript
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Caching: Redis
• APIs: REST, GraphQL, gRPC
• Real-Time: WebSockets

Preferred Skills

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience in product-based companies is a plus.
• Exposure to modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, etc.) to improve developer productivity.
