Back End Developer

Must-haves:

• 7+ years of professional experience as a backend software engineer
• Strong handson experience with C# and .NET (8+) in enterprise environments
• Solid database experience with Oracle, or strong experience with SQL Server plus willingness to transition and deepen Oracle skills
• Experience building and supporting applications in Microsoft Azure (azure function apps, APIM, service bus, event grid, key vault, authentication mechanisms, and cosmos db)
• Background working within Agile methodologies and scrum teams
• Ability to support both new feature development and production issues
• Strong problemsolving skills, ability to work independently in a distributed team, and great communication skills

Plusses:

• Experience in the insurance domain, particularly policy or claims systems
• Prior work supporting or modernizing legacy .NET applications while contributing to cloudbased development
• Exposure to Azurebased modernization or cloud migration initiatives

Day to day:

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer to join our large insurance client. In this role, the engineer will work as part of an Agile team supporting backend services for the client's policy and claims system, contributing across both legacy and modern platforms. Approximately 75% of the role will focus on new feature development, with an increasing emphasis on Azurebased solutions, while 25% will involve production support for existing .NET and Oraclebased applications. The engineer will participate in daily standups, work within twoweek sprint cycles, and deliver into monthly production releases. Day to day, this individual will design, develop, and enhance backend functionality using C# and .NET, collaborate with team members to implement scalable solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and help evolve the platform toward more cloudnative architectures. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has great communication skills, and can work independently.
