Azure Infrastructure Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Infrastructure and Platform (IaaS + PaaS) to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will drive cloud transformation initiatives, define architecture standards, and lead enterprise-level Azure implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end Azure architecture covering IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, and data services
• Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents aligned with business and technical requirements
• Lead cloud migration strategies (lift & shift, re-platforming, modernization) from on-prem to Azure
• Architect and implement Landing Zones based on Azure CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework)
• Design secure and scalable infrastructure including VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, and ExpressRoute
• Implement identity and access management using Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access, and Key Vault
• Drive containerization and orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Define and implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps / Jenkins
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, ARM Templates, PowerShell, or Azure CLI
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity using Azure Site Recovery and Backup
• Implement monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
• Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, and security teams to ensure best practices and governance
• Lead architecture reviews and provide technical mentorship to teams

Required Skills & Experience

Core Azure Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience in Azure IaaS & PaaS services
• Expertise in Azure Networking (VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute, NSG, Load Balancer)
• Experience with Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB
• Strong understanding of Azure Security & Governance (RBAC, Policies, Blueprints)

Architecture & Design

• Proven experience in solution architecture, HLD/LLD creation
• Familiarity with Azure CAF & Well-Architected Framework

DevOps & Automation

• Experience with Terraform / ARM Templates / Bicep
• CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub
• Scripting: PowerShell / Shell / Python

Containers & Platform

• Hands-on with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Knowledge of Docker and microservices architecture

Monitoring & Reliability

• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights
• Understanding of SRE principles (SLA, SLO, SLIs)

Good to Have

• Multi-cloud exposure (AWS / GCP)
• Experience in BFSI / Payments / Enterprise systems
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, Service Bus)
• TOGAF or other architecture certifications

Certifications (Preferred)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
• Relevant DevOps or Kubernetes certifications
