Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable and secure data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong handson experience with Azure data services, realtime and batch data processing, cloud security, and CI/CD practices. This role involves working across the full data lifecycle including ingestion, processing, transformation, storage, visualization, and operations.

Required Technical Skills (MustHave)

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer using cloud PaaS platforms (Azure preferred)
• Strong handson experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure Storage
• Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse (Synapse), OLTP, OLAP, and DW architectures
• Design and implementation of ETL / ELT, streaming, and data transformation pipelines
• Experience integrating SSIS runtime with Azure Data Factory and good understanding of SSIS Catalog (SSISDB)
• Experience with Eventdriven architectures using Event Hub, Event Grid, and IoT Hub / IoT Edge
• Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python and R
• Handson experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices on Azure
• Understanding of Azure Networking, Virtual Machines, Containers, Storage, Load Balancing, and Autoscaling
• Knowledge of cloud security controls, including encryption at rest/in transit, key management, tenant isolation, vulnerability assessments, and application firewalls
• Experience identifying and mitigating risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAIDs) across the project lifecycle

Additional Technology Exposure (Preferred)

• Experience with big data and streaming ecosystems such as:
• Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Cassandra, Impala, Flume, MapReduce, StreamSets
• Exposure to onprem to Azure migration (Azure PaaS / IaaS)
• DevOps experience on Azure DevOps

GoodtoHave Qualifications

• Azure certifications such as:
• DP200 Implementing an Azure Data Solution
• DP201 Designing an Azure Data Solution
• Functional knowledge of scripting or datascienceoriented languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, and R
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problemsolving skills

Key Responsibilities / Expectations

1. Architect and design Azure data platform solutions to meet and exceed client requirements
2. Build, enhance, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines using Azure PaaS services
3. Integrate endtoend solutions using Azure Data Stack, including ADF, Databricks, Azure SQL, and Analytics Services
4. Automate and secure solutions by collaborating with Information Security and Engineering teams
5. Support operations of OLTP, OLAP, and Data Warehouse environments
6. Ensure data quality, governance, performance optimization, and operational excellence
7. Work closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality, productionready data solution
