What we are looking for

Role: AWS RDS (Oracle DBA)

Experience Range: 5 to 7 Years

Location: Chennai,Bangalore

Must Have:

• Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c or higher)
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS for Oracle
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC)
• Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL
• Experience with performance tuning & query optimization
• Strong understanding of:
• RMAN (Backup & Recovery)
• Data Guard / GoldenGate (preferred)
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery
• Familiarity with migration tools (AWS DMS, datapump, etc.)

Good to Have:

• Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Knowledge of DevOps practices / CI-CD pipelines
• Exposure to other databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database / Solutions Architect) are a plus
• Essential:
• Manage and administer Oracle databases on AWS RDS and/or EC2
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies
• Handle backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Configure and manage Multi-AZ deployments and read replicas
• Perform capacity planning and database scaling
• Implement security best practices, including encryption and access control
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis
• Work on database migration projects (on-prem to AWS cloud)
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (Shell, Python, etc.)
• Collaborate with application and DevOps teams for deployments and support
• Ensure database compliance, availability, and reliability

Minimum Qualification:

• 15 years of full-time education
• Minimum percentile of 50% in 10th, 12th, UG & PG (if applicable)
